Healthy Eating Habits can be Yummy When Drinking Vegetable Smoothies

Nutribullet lets you enjoy your vegetables on the go while maintaining your healthy lifestyle.

Vegetables and healthy eating habits are honestly, not the things I’m best known for. I feel guilty even admitting that. In fact, it’s amazing that I’m in such good shape at age 63, considering the terrible eating habits I’ve had over the years.

But whether you’re a vegetable lover or hater, it doesn’t change the fact that vegetables are good for our body and a healthy lifestyle means living longer. So a few years ago, my son bought the product you see in the photo and I wrote the story you’re about to read.

I’m awful when it comes to eating vegetables. Thank goodness my son bought me the NutriBullet, so now I can drink all my veggies. And believe it or not, they actually taste good!

Healthy Shakes and Juices

It’s no secret that protein shakes and blended fruit juices can be a healthy, and tasty substitute at meal time.

But when it comes to the vegetables, we tend to shy away from them. We cheat when we add the vegetables in, but who are we really cheating?

Yes, consuming fresh fruit on a regular basis is a healthy endeavor, even if it’s in the form of a juice, or shake. But fruit clearly doesn’t provide the same necessary nutrients that we can only get from vegetables.

Creative Vegetable Blending

No matter how you try to fool yourself, your predominately fruit juice mixture requires more than just a sprig of broccoli, or a leaf of spinach or kale.

Go ahead and get creative, and don’t be afraid to blend more vegetables into your daily fruit smoothie.

You might just be surprised how good some of those flavors go together. My son has whipped up all sorts of concoctions that I can’t even begin to identify, but that taste absolutely awesome!

I rarely even use the NutriBullet myself, I just let him do his creative blending, and I drink it with no questions asked.

I used to make him tell me everything he put into the beverages that I’ve become accustomed to drinking.

But whenever he mentioned ingredients like beets, cucumbers, radishes, carrots, ginger, and so forth, I found myself scoffing (usually after I already drank it).

So I finally stopped asking. Now I just chug it down.

The NutriBullet

The Nutribullet model I have is the NutriBullet ZNBF30500Z Blender Combo 1200 Watt, 1200W, although that wasn’t the one I actually wanted.

I wanted something quick and easy, but more compact, like their more economical Nutribullet 600W Nutrient Extractor. Not only would it have been perfect for just me, but it only cost $49.00 on Amazon.

Well-blended Drinks

The NutriBullet I have cost $174.00 but since I didn’t pay for it, I can’t complain. My son bought it, so I simply let him deal with the gazillion attachments that came with it.

This product does an unbelievable job of blending those vegetables (and everything else), so it all goes down smooth and easy.

I’m always surprised how good everything tastes, veggies and all. And my son just loves creating all kinds of exotic, but healthy juices and smoothies.

While I wouldn’t suggest this particular model, unless you plan to take advantage of all the extra gadgets; I would definitely recommend the Ninja brand.

Let’s face it, the very best way to fully benefit from the nutrients that vegetables provide, is to eat your damn veggies.

But then again, if you can’t do that, at least do the next best thing. Get yourself a blender or a juicer.

Final Thoughts

Have you already read my weight loss story and how you can cook healthy, by using different cooking styles and methods. I shared some tips about healthy cooking methods that don’t require you to sacrifice taste.

Those methods involve various ways to cook your food, even those hard to take vegetables. But now, aside from just eating your vegetables, you can non-vegetable lovers like me can still consume them and also enjoy them, in some great tasting vegetable smoothies.

As you can see, I ended up loving all the delicious mystery smoothies I got to enjoy, all prepared by my son. Nowadays, I even blend some myself.

In fact, that was the reason I located the original story and decided to republish it. I’m actually thinking about getting a second blender. Maybe the smaller version that I wanted in the first place.

This one still works perfectly fine, but to be honest, my son kind of took possession of it since he apparently loves actually doing the blending, while all I want to do is drink the damn smoothies. CHEERS!
